Tumblr is great, but…

…. there are a few things that really grate against my cervix.

  1. The minimised advanced options panel when you are adding a post.
    I always nearly miss this until the last second, when i open it up to add tags, and set my custom URL. It’s not saving any space, just adding an extra click to get to un-necessarily hidden functionality. grrr.
  2. Displaying a placeholder image on the dashboard when someone posts an image in a text post:  , another case of adding another un-necessary click.
  3. The firefox bookmarklet - having to popup yet another window to add a url. Can we not lightbox this in as you are doing for the advanced options, oh and allow us to set a custom url from here as well. thanks.
  4. Extra for experts: being able to post from any page in the dashboard. Do I really need to head back to the first page? It’s possible to create a new tumblog from any page, an action which I pretty much never use, so why not add in the primary function?
