The readability, functionality and user experience suffers because someone decided that it needed to use e-ink.

-in which Greg suggests that the screen should be a backlit color led touch display, effectively reducing the battery life of the reader from 2 weeks to a mere 8 hours while presumably increasing the cost. He does make some other valid points.
