Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.
1. I am a designer / artist / web developer / copywriter / art director / animator / illustrator / creative, working as a designer for Tribal DDB in Auckland, New Zealand.
2. I am thoroughly addicted to music, and while I can only play keyboard and synth, spend 90% of all my waking hours listening to it. Predominantly, I listen to an eclectic blend of electro, indie and nu metal.
3. I enjoy socialising with people, but for the life of me cant focus or listen properly in any bar / crowd setting. Focus hearing is not my strong point. Conversing with me in a bar will result in me nodding, laughing and saying yeah a lot.
4. I have 4 brothers and no sisters, all of whom are dramatically different both career and personality-wise from me. I am the oldest.
5. Particular visual areas of engagement are colours, shape, form, line, mood and contrast. I will always attempt to manipulate these factors in any project I work on, but particularly hate when other people over-ride my creative process.
6. I am completely left handed and left footed, but use scissors with my right hand.
7. I am competitive by nature, and enjoy playing most sports, with the exception of cricket and sports requiring iceskates, if only because I am not very good at either.
8. I am allergic to the first and last days of summer and midori.
9. I currently have no dreams, only ambition and ego, however, having never yet left the country I would quite like to travel and plan on visiting the US later in the year to visit a long term crush.
10. I live in an apartment with 2 girls and 1 fish. No not like that.
11. The last book I read was Choke by Chuck Palahniuk
12. I am afraid of public speaking and heights, or more specifically falling from them.
13. I have never been in any physical fights, the closest instance was when I attempted to convince the kids who were bullying me on the schoolbus to actually take a swing.
14. In the last two weeks I have purchased a new car - ‘95 Trueno with Manual Transmission. I love 2 door coupes and dislike automatic cars.
15. I suffer from anxiety attacks and indecision. Being presented with a broad range of options or tasks to complete makes me uneasy and can lead to me locking up and being unable to achieve anything. The only solution is to break things down into smaller achievable and manageable task groups. Consequently, I always end up choosing something random from the restaurant menu at the last second.
16. I am a bad singer.
I dont understand why i’d need to tag the person who tagged me, seems a bit random, but I tag everyone who actually reads my tumblr feed. surely there are only about 16 of you??

- I am Profoundly deaf, from birth.
- Went to five schools in my life.
- I have acquired some weird qualifications in my schooling years, such as Horticulture III, but, can barely remember what I’ve learnt from it.
- My parents are deaf.
- Following on the parents snippet, my mum’s family is quite interesting, there is 8 children, four boys and four girls. All boys are left handed, two of them are deaf and two of them are hearing. All girls are right handed, two of them are deaf and two of them are hearing, my mum is the youngest of all eight children.
- I am freelancing as a Designer & Art Director, I am an autoditact (meaning, self taught… design and photography in this case.)
- I was featured in a major newspaper in Perth when I was about seven years old alongside with my friend who had deaf parents as well, but he was hearing himself. I think the article was highlighting our ease of communication at school because we were arranged into classes together.
- My wildest dream, which I am slowly working on, everyday! Is to be a photographer, much like Nick Knight… maybe, with some Helmut Newton… hell, even Nikola Tamindzic and Clayton Cubitt!
- I enjoy making weird looping 3d animations.
- I often dream of living in Europe… one day maybe!
- My better half and I have been together for 1 year and some together, loving every bit of it.
- I am ambidexterous (from the hip and down) in sports that requires kicking a ball and what not, such as football, australian football, etc.
- Loves height unconditionally, loves being on a plane… and so so!
- Socially inept… maybe?
- My dad is a chef, and I have acquired his anal rentetiveness towards qualities (especially the sharpness) of knives, I sharpen them before using it and sharpen them after. And things bout the kitchen in general.
- I was a teaching assistant at a prestigous all girls school, for AUSLAN, language - Australian Sign Language.
