MAY 1ST REBOOT Winners
It’s interesting flicking through the winners of this year’s round of the may1reboot. It appears that the calibre was somewhat lacking, in what was probably one of the bigger design comps back in the early 2000’s. I’ve watched the reboot come under fire a number of times for its heavy emphasis on the use of flash and the apparent usability nightmare that flash is…
After checking out the winners I was quite disappointed to see that they seemed to be quite unfunctional, even the judging seemed to be based on the work showcased instead of the site itself, which is a bit different from what I assumed the point of the event was; a reinvigoration of the web.
Bradley Grosh (judge):
“The site design / functionality wasn’t revolutionary, but the dude’s work was super solid and versatile.”
I guess the demographic of the internet is changing.
