UNITY: Live Demos - Tropical Paradise
Unity 3D is a new(ish) browser plugin, designed specifically for 3d content. Featuring openGL and hardware accelerated 3d support, publishing to iphone, osx dashboard, and wii platforms and integration with existing 3d modelling applications (Maya, 3dsmax et al), the unity plugin is light-years ahead of anything flash 10 is even remotely capable of.
With a currently small marketshare (less than 1%) the 3mb non-browser restart requiring plugin has the potential to take off as an extremely powerful 3D platform. Watch this space.
