Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse - The Man Who Played God (Ft. Suzanne Vega)
Thank you for being born Danger Mouse! Most of the projects you have spearheaded blow me away. Hot on the scene is Dark Night of the Soul, a new Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse team up that is truly worthy of praise. Full of fantastic guests like The Flaming Lips, David Lynch, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy and Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, this diverse collection of collaborative magic is a must purchase this summer! Oh wait! You can’t buy the album because EMI won’t let it be released! Taking a stand, the artists are going ahead with the release but the disc inside will be a blank CD-R since most people will download the album online anyway. Regardless of the unfortunate dispute, this project is really polished and full of interesting musical flavors. To continue my recent spree of soothing female vocalists, check out “The Man Who Played God” featuring the chops of Suzanne Vega. You can hear the rest of the album below.
