We can all sleep better knowing this muppet is...
I am pulled over in a 50km/hr zone at 2am on saturday morning while sober-driving my friends back from town.
Police Officer: Where are you going?
Me: I'm driving my friends home
Police Officer: Why the rush?
Me: I would just like to get home is all
Police Officer: Do you think that it would be faster than walking?
Me: Yes, that is why I am driving...
Police Officer: Well at the speeds you were going you're likely to lose your license.
Me: Really? And how fast was I going Officer?
Police Officer: Well I didn’t have my scanner on, but i'd guess about 70 or 80km/hr
Me: That's odd because when I saw your lights behind me to pull over, I looked at my speedo to see I was going 58Km/hr exactly and as there is no traffic on the road or footpath and I have clear visibility I'd say this is a justifiable speed
Police Officer: Well I'd say you were going pretty fast as I had to drive 110km/hr to catch up with you.
Me: So you just drove 110km/hr in a residential area because you 'guessed' I was speeding.
Police Officer: ....
Me: .....
Police Officer: (inspects warrant of fitness [valid]), What license do you have?
Me: Full
Police Officer: (does not ask to see it) Well that's good then.
Police Officer: You're lucky I just got called to another incident
Me: ... Ok. Bye then.
At least police revenue doesn’t appear to have been a priority...

Region Free Your Mac DVD Player - OSX 10.5
Here’s the steps to liberate your DVD drive from the 5 region changes it allows. - if you feel this is too much, feel free to just download the offending dvd-rip from the internet and let the movie industry slowly strangle itself to death with pointless regioning.
Warning: Modifying the DVD drive firmware has the potential to void your warranty &/ cause the drive to stop functioning...

Dear Internet
This is just a friendly note to let you know that I will no longer be supporting Internet Explorer 6 in any future websites I create. Now this isn’t to say that they wont work, because i’m sure they will still be functional to some degree, but for security, time and technology’s sake, I think it’s time that we moved on together.
Here’s to the future.

DestroyTwitter →
Contrary to its title; yet *another* air twitter client, but with an actually appealing UI. Other projects featured on the website include DestroyFlickr and a handful of interesting flash experiments
If it uses less cpu than tweetdeck, i’m sold.
